Chris Colcord is a Graduate Research Assistant at the MIT Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research and is passionate about climate change mitigation and decarbonization. His current research focuses on the role of industrial policy in decarbonization of the iron and steel industries in the United States. Chris is pursuing an M.S. in Technology and Policy at MIT.
Prior to joining MIT, Chris worked for three years as an MEP engineering consultant, building energy models and designing high-efficiency heat pump systems for residences and commercial buildings. Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Tufts University.
