Nathan Shreve is a Graduate Research Assistant at the MIT Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research and is currently pursuing an S.M. In Technology and Policy. His research with Professor Christopher Knittel examines how electricity rate design and the allocation of grid and clean-energy costs affect household electricity prices, particularly amid rapid load growth and investment in the power system.

Before MIT, Nathan worked at Grid Strategies, where he conducted policy, regulatory, and economic analysis on several transmission and grid modernization topics, including advanced transmission technologies, congestion, load growth, and infrastructure development. Previously, he was a Transmission Fellow at RMI and a consultant at McKinsey & Company in New York. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
